Elon Musk is concerned AI could farm humans the way humans farm animals. “It’s gonna be like the Matrix meets a factory farm except not cool and we won’t be asleep in pink goo or able to dodge bullets.” Musk tweeted. With many believing the race to develop AI equates to the reckless endangerment of mankind, Musks’ tweet has stoked existential fears. In response Musk later tweeted, “We should focus on taking a pro-humanity approach #humane” although it is unclear if he is referring to farm animals or people.
