Hunters using a variety of weapons to kill animals unaware they are apart of recreational sport have been challenged to try water polo. Water polo often tops the lists of the most difficult sports. In 2016, Bleacher Report declared it to be “the toughest sport in the world” based on six parameters: strength, endurance, speed, agility, skill, and physicality. Hunting requires gun ownership.
“I’m about to use the skill of my nine on that guy who tried to drown me” said one hunter referencing his frustration with the game’s physicality. In stark contrast to hunting, water polo involves two teams who both know a game is going on. Also in contrast to hunting, play by both sides can get physical, aggressive, and at times even violent.
